From our results, we can conclude that our hypothesis is correct. As we predicted, the cauliflower survived, while in the pot containing the weeds, the cauliflower suffered. We analyzed and watered each plant (with the same amount of water) over the course of two weeks.
We can conclude that our original Cauliflower plants did die from competition with the surrounding weeds.

Evidence
Evidence
The soil where we placed our plant is covered with grass and weeds. |
The place holder is the only part left of where our plant should be. |
There are no visible remains of our plant, the soil is occupied. |
The flag is a memorial of sorts, dedicated to what our plant could've been. |
Hypothesis
Problem Question: Why did our group's plant die?
The area where our plant should be is covered with grass and weeds, therefore we hypothesize that the water and nutrients that our plant needed to survive were consumed by weeds and other plants around it. Dependent variable: The lack of growth of our plant. Independent variable: What prevented the plants growth.

About Seed Germination Lab
My group and I are finding out whether or not salt effects the growth of plants. We are currently experimenting on cauliflower, and we have taken forty seeds.
We split the forty into four groups and watered each group with a specific mixture of salt(NaCl) and water(H2O)
-H2O(control)
-1% salt water
-4% salt water
-8% salt water

4%bio6
For the past few days we have been growing seeds in paper a towel with water, 1%, 4%, and 8% salt water. Within these days my seeds did not grow until the third day, now i have four starting to sprout.
8% NaCl
For the past few days we have observed seeds we planted in paper towels with different levels of salt 1% 4% 8% and no salt. So far the 8% has not seen any huge change in growth, however one seed is starting to sprout.
