About our project

The Story of the Seed is a year long project, in which our group will follow the life of our plants, from first planting the seed, to the next generation of seeds. The entire class is planting different plants in the species Brassica oleraea, our particular group is planting Brassica oleracea var. botrytis (cauliflower). At first we tested how varying levels of saline given to each group of seeds effected their germination. From there we chose the group of seeds that germinated the most into a tray and placed them under grow lights, where they are still growing, until they are grown enough for us to transplant them into the school's garden. After the transplant, we are going to monitor the growth and development of our plants, record data, and draw conclusions. During the entire duration of The Story of The Seed project, we will be keeping the blog updated with regular posts. In our group is Jack,Dana,Lia,and Will.
